How to Choose Your EMDR Therapist

All of the therapists at The Atlanta Center for EMDR are either Certified EMDR therapists or in the process to become Certified EMDR therapists.

Our providers have been chosen based on a combination of exceptional training and experience AND a proven record of effectiveness and passion for helping others.

Our providers can be selected based on the consumer’s preferences for experience, certifications, insurance participation, or private pay rates. Private pay rates range from $75 - $225 per hour, depending on the therapist’s qualifications and experience.

If selecting a therapist who participates with health insurance is your priority, we recommend that you visit our Therapists Trained in EMDR page. These therapists have been trained in EMDR, and many have already been practicing EMDR for years. All of these therapists are in the process of becoming certified.

If you are not planning on using your health insurance and would like to review providers who are among the most experienced and qualified EMDR/trauma therapists in Atlanta, we invite you to review our Certified EMDR Therapists and Certified: 2 years + EMDR Therapists. While these providers do not take insurance, other payment options are available, such as Care Credit, Out-of-Network Benefits, In-House Financing, and discounts by purchasing packaged sessions.

Certified Therapists have, at minimum, doubled or tripled the amount of direct EMDR practice hours, clinical consultation hours, and Continuing Education classes compared to a Trained EMDR therapist.
